There is nothing about you that I do not love

There is nothing about you that I do not love

There is nothing about you that I do not love.
And in being with you I have learned
that there is nothing about myself
that I cannot love.

In your presence my shame fades,
all the sorrows of my life have meaning
and a current of love animates my smile.

I could strip myself to the bone before you,
open the locked doors of my being
and let the unsavoury innards spill out,
and there would be nothing
you have not already seen,
and understood, and loved.

You make no effort to hold on to me.
Leaving you is easy; and I forget you frequently,
but when I return, in a heartbeat,
I am basking in the glow of your presence
as though I had never been away.

The smile of your greeting
is never other than love;
the depth of your being
is never less than infinite.
There is nothing about you that I do not love.
