The one who sits in a room

The one who sits in a room

The one who sits in a room and speaks with love
dissolves the boundaries between us;
the greater the love, the greater the dissolution.

The one who sits in a room and speaks with love
speaks not to us, but to themselves,
because they know they are not other than us,
and we are not other than them.

The one who sits in a room and speaks with love
creates a loving presence that fills the room,
and bathes us all in a love
that finds ways through any cracks in our rigidity,
and makes it harder for us to hold ourselves aloof from love.

The one who sits in a room and speaks with love
has grown larger than us and can contain us within them;
they open their being to us, and if we enter in
we will find ourselves on the inside of love,
and from the inside of love, all is revealed.
